ABSTRACT
We evaluated the use of seven filtration springs by vertebrates during the critical stages of the dry season. Using camera traps from May to June 2009 on a fragmented tropical subdeciduous forests on the Michoacan coast, we identified 20 vertebrate species including three endangered felids. The number of species identified during the study, provides evidence that these water supplies may be a key resource for the survival of many species on the remaining fragments of tropical subdeciduous forests during the dry season.
